1 July 2026EU RULE CHANGE

The €150 duty exemption has ended

Low-value consignments into the EU no longer enter duty-free. Until 1 July 2028, a flat customs duty of €3 per item applies to goods in consignments worth up to €150, including IOSS shipments. Import VAT still applies as before. We handle the declaration and tell you what is due before the goods arrive.

FAQ

Common questions

Can a company outside the EU import into Belgium?

Yes. You need an EU EORI number, and for VAT purposes a non-EU company importing in its own name usually appoints a Belgian fiscal representative. We act as your fiscal representative and help you get your EORI.

What is the ET 14.000 licence?

It is a Belgian licence that lets you account for import VAT in your VAT return instead of paying it at the border. It removes the need to pre-finance import VAT on every shipment.

What changed for low-value parcels in 2026?

From 1 July 2026 the €150 customs duty exemption no longer applies. A temporary flat duty of €3 per item applies to goods in consignments worth up to €150 until 1 July 2028.

Do I have to use your freight service?

No. Customs clearance is our core service. You can keep your current forwarder and send us the shipping documents.
